Late 1850s style ball gown made from a silk sari and cream silk taffeta. Wrist length kid gloves were correct formal wear at this time.

 

 


 

Late 1850s day gown in blue brocade,  with a wisteria pattern in black and brown. This outfit consists of a jacket and skirt which makes the ensemble versatile as the skirt can be worn with different bodices.
